So, recently (July 13, 2013) I attended a boy band concert. What boy band you may ask? One Direction. And here's how this day went down:
I woke up at 8am and helped my family pack up the house so they could move out.
My friend Sam was supposed to come over at 2-2:30pm so we could finish making posters for my younger cousins that were going with us (they are 10 and 13).
She was running behind and didn't get to my house will around 4, which was when I finally gave up on crimping my hair and just threw it up in a pony tail.
We got to my grandma's house around 4:25pm and waited for the limo and driver my grandma had rented for us.
Well, he was late as well.
This concert was 2 and a half hours from where we lived and it started at 7:30pm, so we really needed to get a move on at this point.
So we all clambered into the limo and left.
About 2 hours and 15 minutes into the drive, we hit a HUGE traffic jam. There had been a bad accident on the interstate right before the venue (like, literally 4 miles away at this point) and it was 7pm.
The jam lasted for at least an hour and 45 minutes.
We were getting anxious and ended up missing the opener.
BUT we did get to see the boys enter the stage AND Harry waved right at us. (We knew it was to us because we were isolated in the corner when we waved)
Now at this point, we just wanted to find our seats.
WELL, then we found out that out tickets were fake.
My cousins were devastated. (This was for their birthday) and the security kicked us out.
At this point, my friend, Sam, was done. She was pissed off and wanted to see the guys.
So she went to the box office, and cried and retold every detail that had happened
and scored us 4 free tickets for 11th row seats
It was a dream come true.
At this point, though, we had missed over half the concert, but we did manage to see some of the Twitter questions and a couple of songs performed.
All in all, it was a pretty good day.
